Excitement is mounting as we await the grand openings of our new gymnasium and new auditorium. The new gym adds a whole new dimension to our already awesome school. And with this new dimension comes a full spectrum of opportunities and possibilities. The SASA ABC is here to make the most of these opportunities by implementing booster activities for our current sports programs, and anticipating booster efforts for new ones. Our new buildings should be completed sometime in the spring of 2010.

The Dragon Album is the highlight of our website, and features many of the great sporting and spirit events at SASA that make our school so awesome.
Below are some of the highlights from the Fall 2010-Spring 2011 School Year, as well as the construction of our new gymnasium and auditorium in the early part of 2010.

Orientation 2010

Orientation 2010 was held in our brand new facility, which houses a new gymnasium, and a new 450-seat auditorium. The new lobby adjoining the two facilities is quite beautiful, and all who attended were duly impressed. Excitement for the beginning of a new school year was peak. This year, we also welcome Mrs. Johnson as our new principal, and she's no stranger to SASA. Mrs. Johnson has served as SASA's assistant principal for many years under the direction of Principal Janet Nash, who retired over the summer, and whom we will miss dearly. The 2010-2011 school year promises to be an exciting and challenging one, but with our skilled and competent SASA staff in place, another fantastic one moving forward. Go Dragons!
SASA Middle School Girls Volleyball

The SASA Middle School Girls Volleyball team competed for the first time in our new gym before an impressive crowd. Although they gave a good battle against their competitors, Thompson Middle School walked away with the prize today. But the crowd was with them all the way, clapping and cheering! You go, girls!

SASA 2011 Middle School Track Meet at BV
5-18-11 The SASA Middle School Track Team has been showing great determination and success under the direction of Coach (Mrs.) Joiner. Below are some pictures taken at their Buena Vista meet. Team members always put forth their best efforts at track meets, and have a great time to boot! Thanks to Coach Joiner and all of her assistant coaches for their hard work and dedication to our teams and to our school. Go Dragons!
